In order to create an NTSC disc, a conversion from the PAL source was
neccessary. Instead of doing a straight overall conversion, I was able to
throw the files into Vegas and resynch all of the shots that were edited
out of synch for the original broadcast. This was pretty easy after spending
so much time on 8mm! I also worked on the audio, balancing the volume,
which suffered from severe fluctuations.
I've also included Cochon's slideshow for the bonus video, a snippet of
Cymbaline taken from the soundcheck. Thanks for JME's blessing to
do this, I've listed this HRV release in association with Cochon to give
credit where credit's due.
So, for the 1st time in 36 years, here's the Saint Tropez broadcast as it
should have been presented... in SYNCH! : )
